Semco Products, Inc.: About Us

SEMCO has been developing and producing paper-based document management solutions for over 90 years.

Established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1917 and incorporated in 1929 as the Safety Envelope Manufacturing Company, the founders manufactured affordable, tamper-proof envelopes for banks and legal firms.

Gradually our product line grew to include filing supplies for city and county governmental agencies, banks, and schools. As the product line grew, so did the number and range of our customers.

In 1986 we changed our name from the Safety Envelope Manufacturing Company to SEMCO.

Today in our modern facility in Milwaukee we manufacture custom filing products at speeds that would have been unthinkable to the founders of SEMCO.

But our corporate philosophy has remained the same over the last 90 years –– to produce quality products that fill our customer’s needs at competitive prices and to provide our customers with knowledgeable and responsive service.
